My June
It’s been the busiest June of my life, but also the absolutely best June of my life!
Here’s a quick list of some of it:
- Went to Monte Carlo TV-festival in Monaco for a week. Did 41 interviews in four days. I was a bit hit there, heh, even Jorge Garcia (of Lost9 wanted to be photographed with me. Thankx Tom for the hair, that must’ve been the reason. Made one great new friend there too, our hotel piccolo Vlad, who’s an awesome singer-songwriter too. Check his site here.
- Did one more interview back home, Skins’ Nicholas Hoult, who I’m now sending sms’s with. Now how neat is that!!
- Went to Kylie’s concert in Helsinki Arena with 126 friends. Well, there prolly was even more, but that many tickets I bought anyways. It was awesome. Not as great as her two previous tours, but still: breathtaking!
- Threw yet again one helluva birthdayparty. This time in my flat, which was pretty crowded concidering I counted 51 friends from the pictures (which will be posted on my gallery at some point – I took over 3 000 pics this months, so I have quite a lot PhotoShopping still ahead…) Santi was my superb bartender, and i have the best friends ever!!! Thankx to all who attended and remembered me by sms, msn, Facebook etc.
- Tommi, my danish friend visited for a week, and we updated my computer and set my printer to work, so I’ve been printing over 150 new photos and bought almost that many new frames as well, so my living room wall really looks fantastic now! Come and see for yourself!
- Took a road trip to Länkipohja with Sampo, Xander and Tommi to attend Petri’s (my ex-roomie) 30th pre-birthdayparty, and to see his new home. Which was huge! It’s and old youth center his parents bought for him. (They already live in an old firehouse, and bought the city hall too, which they’re renovating into Bed & Breakfast.
- Celebrated Mid-Summer with Tommi, Edvard, Santi, Henry and Sami with pretty disasterous results… which I won’t go into details here.
- Discovered I do have a new bird’s nest in my terrace. it’s just so hidden one can’t see it, but definitely can hear it in the evenings!

My May
May was… so and so.
It sure had more fantastic moments that I can possibly mention, but some crappy things too, so it sure wasn’t the best of months. Especially since I was yet again too buys to write any updates. (And same goes to April as well…)
Annywhoo…
Job’s been great. Quite busy and tiring sometimes, but I like my new colleagues and going back to the basics aka actually watching programmes and writing about them (and leaving the rest of the crap for my boss to deal with, hah!).
For those interested, I’m usually at the office from 9.15am to 5-ish unless I need to do some pre-viewing etc. I do have my msn on, but on some days I simply don’t have time to chat. Sowwie.
My parents came over for a visit in April and we re-did my whole flat. I got all new furniture for my living room and kitchen, and there’s no words to describe it really, you just have to come and see it yourself! Well, okay, one thing I will tell: 50-inch tv!!!!!!
I had gout. Really. Gout. And had to stay put for awhile, but it’s now healed, even thou my big toe is still a bit stiff. Anyways, it doesn’t hurt, and the doctors gave me (almost) clean papers, so I’m free to travel abroad.
Yep, I’m going to Monte Carlo TV-festival next weekend! Atm I already have 44 interviews booked and one pending, so I will have pretty busy days while in Monaco…
And god willing I’ll get back from there in time, coz my flight back should land Helsinki on Friday 13th at 5pm and Kylie’s concert starts 8-ish, so Finnair better make it in time, dammit!
And right after the concert will be my birthday, which I’m this year celebrating here at my place. I’ve booked the sexiest bartender in town to make cocktails for people, since I’m also celebrating the end of my 6-month-sobriety! So if you haven’t yet received your invitation (sms or facebook)… do show up if you know the address ;)
And the following day I won’t be having hang-over coz I’ll be writing my weekly articles, which are all due next morning, because of the earlier deadlines (due to Mid-Summer).
And my friend Tommi from Danmark will some here for a week that day too! And we”ve planned on going to Länkipohja to celebrate my ex-roomie Pepe’s 30th birthday that following week, which is also the Mid Summer Weekend this year. And after that weekend Tommi returns to Copenhagen, and I (hopefully) return to a bit more normal and less hectic life. (Don’t get me wrong… I most certainly am not complaining, I just need some time for myself every now and then.)
So, here was a quick update to my past few weeks, and quick peek at weeks to come.
