It’s about time…
Yes, once again I’ve returned and promised myself to start writing diary regularly. Hah.
This year has started with big changes. I resigned from Katso Magazine. After 98 months, 1 week and four days my journey there was completed. I loved almost every minute of it. Had seven editor-in-chiefs and endured four staff reduction agendas plus the magazine itself went through numerous re-births and style changes.
I started a new job as a tv-journalist at Iltalehti little over a week ago. I was head-hunted there by my former colleague Meri, and we’re in charge of Iltalehti’s new weekly magazine Tv-Jätti (= Tv-Giant). First issue comes out in two weeks, so been working on it 24/7 past eight days.
- Been ill. I had cough and throat infection all December, and as I finally got over it, all this work stress made one 16yo infection on my left cheek to re-new. Nothing big, just popping pills and seeing doctors, who disagree with my own diagnose. Had ultrasound, lied on a plastic surgeons table and yesterdays I finally saw a nose and ears specialist. Now I’m in the surgery line and will have it all fixed over this spring. I prolly get little paralysed temporarily afterwards, but it’ll all pass, they promised. And scars… well, they’re just signs that you have lived your life, right?
After 15-ish years I’ve also switched my internet-provider, so note to everyone who sees this: my old @pp.htv.fi-address will be history at the end of this month. So everyone start using either this domain-addy or the new @pp.inet.fi-one. I know many people switch addies all the time, but I don’t, so this is a biggie for me.
Another “big thing” is that I stopped drinking for half a year. No particular reason, I just did it. Just don’t feel the need for it, really. I made similar decision in 2006 and it was pretty easy. It just seems to be bigger thing for others to understand why I chose to do this. Anyways, next time I’m gonna drink and let my hair down will be Friday the 13th of June – Kylie’s concert and my birthday party at DTM!!
I’ve also made quite a many new friends over this past two months, and bonded with many from the past, which also feels great. Me and Santi started our own Tuesday Treffit, where we watch latest episode of Prison Break, old Alf-episodes and stuff ourselves with candy. And talk rubbish.
Since it’s been such a long time there’d be so many things to tell, but I’m trying to keep things short, so do expect more stories soon.
