A Turkey, A Nuclear Bomb and Some Naked Foxes

Oh how I love these Tero-Days when I have absolutely nothing to do, so I could do anything I wanted, but still I decide to do household tasks which makes me feel good at the end of the day.
The only thing I had to do today was to go and find the turkey for our Family Dinner next tuesday – and I did that. I ended up bying a whole bird, coz thats way cheaper than buying just the breast-filés. Besides, it’ll be cool to test if cooking a turkey really is that difficult as they show on tv-series…
I also went to post office to pick the package my mom had sent me. It was filled with elk meat, which I put to my freezer to wait for the right time to cook.
I did some laundry, dishes, tiding up etc. I also finished listing all my dvd’s to my library-program on my computer as well as listing them here on my site in My DVD’s.
And I still had time to watch all the episodes of Vanished and even started the O.C.-box.
And what would a day be without few nice chats too. Nathan showed me some awesome pics he’s drawn – he’s so into foxes, and has even done some petty amazing adult-art of them! Also later in the day Kobi and I had a long and nice conversation about growing old together in a retirement home. Awww….
Ohh, and Jussi visited in the evening and we watched the pilot of Jericho. It tells a story of a small town somewhere in Kansas, and it’s people who are schoked when a nuclear bomb explodes and all the communication outside is cut off. It started a bit slowly, but seemed quite promising, so we’re definitely going to see the rest of it.

Adult Toy Store

Today’s highpoint was visiting Ville Valo’s dad Kari’s adult toy store Aikuisten lelukauppa, which actually is located quite near my place. I wonder I haven’t popped in there before? Anyways, I went there with our reporter Elina, who had done an article about Kari not-so-long ago. Elina needed some presents for BB-Kaki and needed me to chaperone her visit there, ha. I gladly agreed, coz that meant a chance to do a little christmas shopping as well…
After that I went with my furry handcuffs and stuff, to HTV’s headquarters to complain about the internet connection. I had taken the modem box with me in the morning, and still they refused to believe that there’s anything wrong with it. Even thou the clerk guy was disturbingly semi-handsome, I still managed to maintain my rage. And after long discussion he agreed to take it under further checking and game me another modem to use meanwhile. But he kept a looong lecture how I have imagined this whole problem coz they have no other cmplaints from this same building. Oh, we’ll see… we’ll see.
I got home and felt still so furious that I decided to take a little nap, even though it was barely 7 p.m. And gee, I woke up at 2 a.m. Yet another missed evening. Dammit.
I chatted awhile with Manuel who had slept with his boss – just to get ahead in the company! I’m impressed, heh, especially since the boss is a she…
As I was wondering whatta hell to do at… 4 a.m. In the morning Johannes Nicolas Voutilainen came online. He’s a fellow entertainment/style journalist whom I’ve become friends with just recently as he started to write for our magazine about men’s style. I’ve read his stuff for years and thought of him being quite a cool and interesting guy and our recent chats have proved that.
Now first thing he said was he needs to throw up. Hah. After he’d done that we started chatting on about basically everyhting. Our lives and careers and families. And time just flew by. It was 6 a.m. When Johannes finally called in the day. I wasn’t sleepy so I started to watch Grey’s Anatomy and episode after episode time fly by again, and soon it was 8 a.m. Already. Then I went to bed, coz I didn’t have to worry about tomorrow, since I have two days off – they’re last unkept days of my summer vacation!
