A Photo Shoot
Last day of living alone.
Jani called and suprised me with great news: he’ll be moving in already tomorrow! Awesome! And I chatted with Kidi too, and he’ll be coming over on friday to cook us a special candlelight supper too. Awww. It’ll be so cool to sit down and have a chat with him too.
Really, I need to start seeing more and people who I haven’t seen in awhile, coz not only one but quite a few people have sms’d me lately and complained that I’m too busy these days and they never get to see me. I’m soooo-rrrryyy… It’s the job… I mean, I hate the situation myself too. I go to work 9.am and come home 7-10 p.m. By then I’m just so tired I fall down on my bed, open the tv and fall asleep. I haven’t even had the time to write proper updates for this site, nor finish listing all my dvd’s.
Today was a small exception of my patters, coz I had Cousteau and Jouni to come over, coz Jouni needed new and proper pictures of himself, coz he’s enetring one modellling competition, so he wanted a photoshoot with me. Before we did that, we cleaned Petri’s room and moved the red sofa there, so it’s ready for Jani too.
Today wasn’t all that bad at work. It was the final deadline of the very first issue I was in charge of, and it all went suprisingly painlessly. Ithink I might even start enjoying this new job!!

Late Night with… Tero O’Brien
Ok. I better stay away from the public in March…
Our magazine hosted the 43rd annual Telvis Awards (finnish Emmy’s) tonight and Conan O’Brien was the eagerly awaited guest who picked an award himself and presented one to the favourite female tv-star of the year.
Conan’s been in Finland for five days shooting material for his show, and today he met our president Tarja Halonen, whom he resembles so much that he had to fly over to this tiny weird country to see that IRL.
I was at the backstage of the show with my colleagues when Conan saw me, pulled me by my shoulder to his quarters and snapped his fingers to the film crew to start shooting. And so he interviewed me for like five mins. I was so taken by it, I really don’t remember much of it, other than making jokes with him about our magazine awarding him next year for “best upper body muscles of Finland” and me getting then “best lower half one” or something. And surely he was asking about my hair and glasses, which I assume were the reason he chose me.
Anyways, I’m prolly gonna be on his show some time in March. I have nooo idea how much of that five mins he’s gonna cut into the Finland-section he’s gonna edit of his trip here, but even if there’s just one line from me… I know I’m gonna get tons of calls and people staring at me – again. (Not that they wouldn’t stare anyways, but you know what I mean.) Of course it’ll be so cool to be on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, but I’m just afraid of how idiotic I will sound – and look.
Oh well, I’ll worry that later. Right now I’ll worry just having enough energy to get up tomorrow and getting the next issue successfuly to the print by 4 p.m.

I Wanted a Mandoline – and got a Free Phone
Ookay. Learned a lot at work today. And I don’t mean things like “never pour milk into a teacup without smelling it first”-stuff or “how to roll around the office with your chair without using your arms and legs”-likes. Nope. Just learned quite a lot of being an editor.
Had a nice chat with my friend Jesse from Tampere who’s doing time as we speak – in the civil service that is. We found out that we shar ethe exact taste of this year’s finnish ESC-entries which is cool. Actually, if you watched last friday live tv-show, Jesse was the dark-haired cutie in the front row in the middle. Or just go and check his gallery at my site.
Got home and finally dared to visit the downstairs grocery after the last week’s Chippendale’s-incident.
Pepe packed his stuff all eve and I kept him company by starting to re-arrange/alphabetize my dvd’s and list the onto the computer. Can’t really believe it… this time tomorrow his room is empty. Well, almost. And what’s sucky is that I don’t get to meet his parents, coz I’ll be closing the issue at the office in the evening shift and prolly be home around 9-ish. Damn.
And talking about work… It’s now final: I won’t get that Logan Marshall Green’s interview. They kept postponing it and prolly even forgot it, and then emailed me last week about it. I replied that I wouldn’t do him for 24 anymore, but could do him for O.C. – and they declined as I assumed. Super-sucky. I so would’ve wanted to have a chat with him…
And another thing: I got my very first work-mobile today!! It’s a black Nokia 1600 for you whom it might concern. But for me it’s a free phone I may use for the amount of 100 euros per month. Heh. No worries, I’m still gonna keep my old phone and number, but will start using this work-one starting from this Friday or next Monday – depending on which day I get my SIM-card (and number). Coz it’s freeeee!!!
